GOLDWIN to Unveil THE NORTH FACE GRAVITY in Hakuba, Nagano this Summer
The Second Store of GOLDWIN’s New “GRAVITY” Series

GOLDWIN Inc. (HQ: Shibuya, Tokyo / President: Akio Nishida / First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange: 8111) is pleased to announce the opening of THE NORTH FACE GRAVITY HAKUBA on Friday, July 17, in Hakuba, Nagano.

Hakuba has grown rapidly into a world-class resort and a popular destination for many foreign tourists. Following last year’s successful launch of THE NORTH FACE GRAVITY in Niseko, Hokkaido, GOLDWIN is now set to expand its new operation this summer with the opening of THE NORTH FACE GRAVITY HAKUBA, a stand-alone store conveniently located next to JR Hakuba Station.

Inspired by the visitor centers of California national parks, the new store will be ready to spread the charm of Hakuba all across Japan and worldwide and introduce the latest in outdoor lifestyle through exciting events and more.

July 17 will mark the launch of the new shop celebrating outdoor sports all year long amidst the great outdoors of Hakuba.

Since its inception, The North Face has tirelessly explored new styles of outdoor apparel and equipment. The new store will feature a full assortment of the brand’s lines, including: Summit Series, The North Face’s high-end line; Performance Line, a comprehensive selection of trail and urban running apparel; and Purple Label, a fun addition to urbanites’ outdoor life. Trendy lines of women’s and kids’ apparel will also be available.

A broad spectrum of other brands will also be on display, including: macpac, New Zealand’s outdoor backpack brand; C3fit, a compression wear brand; and Icebreaker, an outdoor wear brand featuring Merino wool. Winter sports gear and apparel include skiwear from GOLDWIN and a wide selection of snowboard wear from 241 (Two Four One), BLUEBLOOD, and Estivo, as well as ski boards and ski boots from Fischer.

THE NORTH FACE GRAVITY HAKUBA will also offer rentals of high-quality, high-performance products, including rainwear, hiking shoes, and backpacks during the off seasons (spring/summer/fall), and skiwear, ski boards, and ski boots during the snow season. With a coffee stand and a space where the customers can browse nature and art books on the 2nd floor, the store has been designed to attract many people with an open, welcoming atmosphere — just like a visitor center in national parks in California.

Throughout the year, the store will host events and tours where participants can experience the great outdoors of Hakuba and discover what makes Hakuba so special. Knowledgeable and experienced staff will be ready to assist customers with their needs and answer any questions they might have.

THE NORTH FACE GRAVITY HAKUBA presents a holistic approach to outdoor lifestyle that caters to the increasingly diversifying and sophisticated needs of the sportswear market.

The new store reflects GOLDWIN’s ongoing commitment to its key midterm goals, which include implementing a multi-brand strategy and transitioning into a demand-driven business operation through an aggressive expansion of wholly owned, independently operated stores. We aim to meet the increasingly diversified needs of our customers by offering a wide range of products of various brands.

Our sale is limited to Japan only.
