世界を驚かせたラグビーワールドカップ2019TM 日本大会。日本代表の活躍を支えた2019ジャージ。ラグビーはポジションによってプレーの特性が異なり、それに合わせて選手の体格やパフオーマンスも変わる。日本代表のために作られたこのジャージは、フオワードのフロント口ー用、セカンド＆バック口ー用と、バックス用の3種類の用途別に開発された。そしてシルェットだけでなく、本体生地もフオワード用、バックス用で用途に合わせて設計され、選手のパフオーマンスが最大限に発揮されるようにラボやフィールドでのテスト が繰り返された。「日本人のもつスピリッド“武士道の精神“で世界と戦う」という意味合いを込めた「兜：KABUTO」 というデザインコンセプトのもと、伝統的な和の意匠を取り入れた2019ジャージには、こうした精神性と誇りが宿っている技術を結集した機能性と、世界に挑む選手たちを鼓舞し、代表チームと一緒 に戦う日本中の気持ちをーつにするデザインが融合した2019ジャージが完成した。

All rugby positions require different skill sets and body types. The jerseys made for the Japan national team were created with these differences in mind. Three variants were developed — one for front row forwards, another for second and back row forwards, and yet another for backs. Each category of jersey was given distinctive, uniquely-designed silhouette and fabric, and extensively lab and field tested to assure maximum performance.
The 2019 jersey concept incorporates traditional Japanese values and pride under the motif of “Kabuto” (warrior helmet), which stands for taking on the world with the spirit of Bushido. With its combination of state-of-art functionality and inspiring design, the 2019 jerseys united all of Japan to fight together with the national team.
